Any brilliant minds have any experience with trimming down the unnecessarily (for me) long blade of 9" carver?
Dad picked me up a "new" Russell Green River carver for $0.50 at a garage sale. I'd like to keep the trimmed-off end to make a wee utility knife (maybe not so wee- there's plenty to trim off). Then I want to clean up the handle end and actually get some use out of it, as it will then be less unwieldy. That is, more wieldy?
I've seen countless Old Hick mods- and I know its essentially the same project. But I would love for any of you animals to come out of the woodwork with your pics, recommendations, words of wisdom, or- words of ungodly scorn- whatever you are into. Help design me a sweet project if you like. Thanks!
