New grinder today!

I was looking for ideas last night on building a kmg style grinder and I decided to check on Craigslist and found a knockoff Wilton square wheel style grinder that I bought this morning for $180!
Pretty happy about this!

So on the platen it sticks out 1/4" per side from the belt, is that a normal thing on these and how should I modify it so I can us it? I am thinking if I just add the glass like on my 2x42 that should do it right?
And now I can start making/buying some wheels for hollow grinding!

That knob on the side is your tracking.Just turn it and put the belt right on the edge of the platen either side,roll it over a little,whatever.You'll be able to make it dance pretty quick.I wouldnt trade for my square wheel.They are a great machine.Mine has been slowed down with a smaller drive wheel.

Yeah, the tracking adjustment isn't working quite right but hopefully after I snug a few things up it should be good
