Awesome grips! Even without the lanyard hole.

All of the full size Becker have the same handle shape and the grips are interchangable. Those should fit the BK 9 just fine.
I would make sure there is a lanyard hole for the Bk 9 if you are going to be doing alot of chopping.

Looking good! Nice first start. I'd do a little more slow and careful shaping, then finish that bad boy with some nice fine grit sand paper.

Thanks,

the cocobolo wood worked nice but i got another real nice hardwood set cut for the BK9 and i will remember the daggone lanyard hole this time;).....I have to get a new sheath for them now that the grip shape has changed, no biggie, got a guy here that makes kydex stuff at bill goodmans gun show. I think the BK9 will get the new grips and I think i am going to strip the blade as well..will post that if it happens. These Beckers are cool.Hope the 9 is as cool as my Junglas.

Why don't you just take the Handles off and drill the Handle out and put a sleeve tube in there and 'poof' you have a Lanyard hole.! My .02 worth.*

Looks good to me! I've wondered how wood grips would work on these.

Gladiator, you got an idea there, but i think im gonna leave em w/o the lanyard hole. I dont think i really need one for this knife. Im gonna take this knife out next weekend and beat the crap outta stuff and see how the wood holds up.

I love cocobolo wood. It was my favorite until one day about 20 years ago I suddenly became very allergic to the wood dust while shaping and sanding. It would close my throat right up. My doc says it was not uncommon to be able to work with certain tropical hardwoods for years and then become very allergic to them. I use mostly micarta now, but still really like nice dark wood.

Alergic to wood dust, yikes, I love the exotic woods and would hate to stop using them. I have a super hard block of african blackwood i been waiting to use... Might end up as new handles for my incoming BK9.

They look very nice.....But every knife should have a lanyard......Just sayin.....

Good work on the handles. I probably would've forgotten the lanyard hole myself lol. But regardless, looks good

I am almost that bad with cedar...and mahogany. Basically, I get sick as hell when cutting a lot of either...

Thanks all, you guys rock, I am putting on the finishing touches of the new bloodwood set for the BK9 that might(crossed fingers) be in th email when i get home.

wow, the wood on that first knife is that bacote? it almost looks like a burl with those deep dark wood sections, that wood is beautiful...seeems i got a way to go but i am hitting woodcraft tomorrow for some hardwood sweeties and i guess practice makes perfect. also i like your stripped blade, the BK9 that is on the way to my house will get a good blade stripping, i read all your stuff so im hoping for good results.......:)
