Ready for a new Griptilian blade profile? Thoughts?

Time for a update to the fullsize tanto, imo!

I'm getting my first new (to me) 550-1 today. That's new, right? Does that count?

I'd go for something in M4, but I'm digging the existing blade shapes.

I like the drop point and tanto, but what would really be sweet is if they did a limited release or even production of the drop point with the thumb hole. There was a special edition Griptilian back in the early-mid 2000’s like that. A plain edge modified drop point with a thumb hole would be awesome.

I like both the 551 & 552 blades.

Does Benchmade offer replacement blades for discontinued models?
(ie. 552 Doug Ritter M390 blades?)

Wharncliffe, that's all I ever want anymore. Ease of sharpening and general utility. I'm not skinning deer daily but I do scrape gaskets, cut wire and zip ties, and open boxes. I just want one major manufacturer to make a 3.5" Wharny. And not the Wharny that Hogue is trying to pass off, that's a damn joke.

Something like the HK 14717 Tanto

Brainstorming... How about a reverse tanto Wharncliffe (saber ground) and also a thumb hole hawk bill?

No Tonto..............
Full flat grinds would be nice, especially for the Mini-Grip, Mini-Freek and valet.
The lack of thin and slicey, is what keeps me away from any more Benchmades.
Benchmade doesn't have to drop other blades but slicey would be a great option. :)
