Got it today, 5 sliver back spacer screws 1 black, oddly weird. Other than that its a solid effort that I'm happy with. The action is a heck of a lot smoother than my Thompson era spartan was when delivered.

new GSM voyager xl with mismatched screws

Enjoy that thing, sir. Its a fine piece of knife.
I’ve had two less than satisfactory incidents with recent/new/GSM Cold Steel folders. Both had the new, non-tanto CS knife logo on the blade.
First was a Counter point XL which came brand new with a missing side-plate screw. The screw that was closest to the thumb release. The screw was also nowhere in the bag or box.
The other was an XL Voyager which came new with an unfortunate ¾” “bevel” on the top/side of the lock bar - just a bit back from the blade. This is the bar that is usually ground nice and evenly flat. That bevel certainly didn’t affect functioning, but became a huge “can’t un-see it” now thing for me.
Unfortunate is about the best word to describe these two things. Never in memory did any of my past Cold Steel folders have such rookie mis-haps.
I’ve become a more careful buyer now.
