Hey all,

New to the forum but not to knives. I used to frequent the Benchmade Forum many years ago. Since then, I've owned a BM 551s Griptillian, a BM 707(edc), a BM 32 Morpho, a 910BK Stryker, a BM 705, a BM 705-401, Kershaw Leek, and will hopefully have my MT Ultratech D/E DLC within the week. Haven't bought a new knife in close to 6 years. I really only ever carry my Griptillian and Stryker now. 707 vanished on me couple of years ago (miss that thing so much), sold the 32, and gifted away the Leek and 705-401. Feels good to be picking up a new blade, and branching out into more brands. Looking forward to hanging out around here. Thanks for having me!

Welcome,
As a beanchmade guy surprised you didn't go with a infidel or bedlam 8600 for your auto, I,m assuming its your first auto if not sorry.
But you'll be happy with the microtech I've never had a bad one. Can't say that about the infidel it gave me nothing but trouble.
The bedlam is fantastic if you like Large curved blades. Protech is outstanding too. Sorry for rambling on.
Anyways you'll love it here theres so much collective knowledge here you can spend hours on end reading.

Thanks for the welcome truth-seeker. I actually owned a auto mini presidio for a very brief time. BM is my favorite overall but I don't care for the infidel and have always been fascinated by microtech knives. Branching out is important for me now too, so I'll be picking up more blades soon. I've always wanted a CRK small sebenza as well. Definitely going to need to grab one before touching another benchmade.

Thanks Ken!

Sooo, I really think I'm going to pull the trigger on buying a CRK small sebenza. I think it'd make an excellent EDC for my purposes. Small, tough as nails, and very good looking. I use my knives mostly for mundane things such as cutting food, opening packages/mail, and whatever else is necessary on a day to day basis. I do however also use my knives for tougher cutting when measuring and cutting things for when I'm working on my car, and sometimes when working on my hobby stuff (scale/sci-fi models). You could say its a bit overkill for working on models but scalpels and hobby blades don't always cut it when you're slicing through thick resin. I'm pretty excited because, as a kid/teenager Reeve knives were just way out of my price range but now in my mid twenties I can afford to spare the coin, so long as I don't end up buy like...2 a month. Which...could be a thing...Haha, you guys know how it goes. *See a knife you like* "I'll take four".:D

edit: I'll keep further knife discussion in the appropriate areas. Just figured the posts about my Ultratech and hopefully Sebenza didn't warrant their own threads.
