My name is Jim and I'm a lifelong resident of Iowa. To give you a bit of background, I have been self employed for over 31 years. The business I own provides Corporate Security, Armed Bodyguard and Private Investigation services. I am a member of several gun Forums. I am mainly on the S&W Forum, which is where I get my screenname. P&R stands for pinned and recessed. I collect the older S&W revolvers, and have a bunch of 'em. I am pretty famous on there for some of my stories of interesting things I have done with my clients, one of them involving a thong. (Really).
I am also kinda famous in Northeast Iowa because I cast an Electoral vote last year. Got interviewed about 50 times, and got a bunch of emails, phone calls, Facebook messages and letters from people begging me to switch sides. (I'm not sure about your Politics rule so I will keep those views to myself until I find out).
I realize this is a knife Forum, and I have a bunch of those too. I carry an older Spyderco Delica every day, and have a number of their knives. I have one Ken Onion Speedsafe folder and the collection of Applegate Fairbairn folders. Also have a Buck 110 and a fixed blade Buck hunting knife. But my favorite is one I have had about 40 years: A Buck 305 folder. I busted off the tip of the blade, but left it as is. It serves as a screwdriver, and I often fixed stuff in emergencies, including a Rotary engine car that would regularly break down, often in the rain, in the middle of the night.
Anyway, I look forward to taking part in your discussions. I have a bunch of interesting stories to tell, so let me know if you wanna hear 'em.
