My name is Jim and I'm a lifelong resident of Iowa. To give you a bit of background, I have been self employed for over 31 years. The business I own provides Corporate Security, Armed Bodyguard and Private Investigation services. I am a member of several gun Forums. I am mainly on the S&W Forum, which is where I get my screenname. P&R stands for pinned and recessed. I collect the older S&W revolvers, and have a bunch of 'em. I am pretty famous on there for some of my stories of interesting things I have done with my clients, one of them involving a thong. (Really).
I am also kinda famous in Northeast Iowa because I cast an Electoral vote last year. Got interviewed about 50 times, and got a bunch of emails, phone calls, Facebook messages and letters from people begging me to switch sides. (I'm not sure about your Politics rule so I will keep those views to myself until I find out).
I realize this is a knife Forum, and I have a bunch of those too. I carry an older Spyderco Delica every day, and have a number of their knives. I have one Ken Onion Speedsafe folder and the collection of Applegate Fairbairn folders. Also have a Buck 110 and a fixed blade Buck hunting knife. But my favorite is one I have had about 40 years: A Buck 305 folder. I busted off the tip of the blade, but left it as is. It serves as a screwdriver, and I often fixed stuff in emergencies, including a Rotary engine car that would regularly break down, often in the rain, in the middle of the night.
Anyway, I look forward to taking part in your discussions. I have a bunch of interesting stories to tell, so let me know if you wanna hear 'em.
Jim

Welcome to the forums! Good stories, good taste in knives, I think you'll fit right in. :D:thumbsup: The search bar will be one of your best friends around here, and if you have specific interests (such as Buck) you can go to manufacturers forums for all kinds of conversation and information. Have fun, and good luck! :p:cool::);):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Welcome to BFC P&R Fan !!!!!!!!
Politics is a definite no-no anywhere but in the political forum. It truly is best to keep them to yourself. There is a Buck sub forum for all the Buck fans.
Do some reading in the different areas and I'm sure you'll get a feel on how things flow here.
Btw, the only older S&M I own is a .45 long colt 25-5
