Hello everybody . . .

I've been lurking here for a while and just wanted to take the time to finally sign up and make it official. I've caught the knife-making disease. It started when I decided to make one for my brother as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. I've been learning, taking it slow, and I think I'm making some good progress, even though I've only made a total of 5 knives to date.

Looking to learn as much as I can- and this seems to be a great place to start.

Thanks. To be honest, I wasn't really sure if this was the right section to post in for newbies. Most of the other message boards I frequent usually have a section for introductions. Have to get the post count up to show some photos I would assume. Love the quote by the way.
