Hello all! Not super new. Been a lurker for a long time i used this site exclusively many times to answer my questions.
About me, im a LEO in las vegas nv. I carry a ZT0350 and a cheapy walmart kershaw as a spare.
I also recently acquired an esee 5, a kershaw rake, scallion, and my wife built me a custom Griptilian (big movie buff) for xmas. All bought due to reviews i read here! So thanks guys! Now my question is.. My grip the blade rubs the handle (im a righty) when i open it. I fiddled with the pivot but its not staying center. It flexes left when i push it to open it. How can i keep it centered?
Anyway heres the new grip and my other babies

Welcome and continue to enjoy the forums. I just got an Esee 5 for Christmas and am excited to test it out. Can not help on the grip if adjusting the pivot did not work. Great knife though and I love the customizations done to it.

Welcome! That is an awesome Grip! I bet it put a smile on your face.

After you tightened the pivot, if its loosening up after opening a few times you my have to put some blue loctite(thread locker) on the screw and then tighten it back up to where you like it.

Thanks for the compliments and the help. I didnt know if due to the nature of the plastic handles (scales?) that it would flex more. The blade rides vloser to the left than the right but i guess ill just loctite it and push it over while i tighten the pivot.

Yea i was pretty stoked. She picked the tanto and even s30 steel on it so i guess im rubbing off on her! Lol i need a sheath for the esee but my uncle is (at least said he was) going to be making his own kydex sheaths so i guess ill see what he comes up with.

With my Minigrip and original handels, you have to find the sweet spot by adjusting ALL the screws. It was a matter of loosening all the screws, slowly tighten them in different orders; not necessary just the pivot. What I found was ll the screws are in relation to one-another; by tightening the back screws affected the pivot also. Good luck!!

Ok.My story.
On my 707 le the blade was off. I had to loosen all the screws and hold the knife in one hand, while holding pressure to center the blade and then tighten the screws up.
The knife slipped out of my left hand and sliced my finger wide open. I have cut myself twice with this one knife. M390 blade is sharp as a mofo. The blade is perfectly centered now.
I wish it came from benchmade this way, as it was easy to do on this model.
