After going through the Esee lineup, I wandered over here. Although I've been eying BK&T since they first came out, always wanted one and remedied that today. :)
So I've heard the sheath sucks on the BK9, any truth to that?

The sheath is adequate, not the best. It will keep the knife with you and protect you from the edge. Simple sheath requirements met. Now, that said, there are better sheaths out there, and will serve your needs better, the biggest flaw, is long term use. My BKT sheaths, going back to Camillus, tend to not finish the race.

Not a good reason not to buy, though. Well worth the money.

Welcome.:)I actually like the the BK9 sheath. I was impressed at how quick I can retrieve the 9" blade. It is faster than any other knife I have. It's not too heavy or bulky, and there are enough options on how to mount it.

I got mine recently so I cannot speak about its longevity. It does a good job for what it is, and does not warrant immediate replacement.
