Been on blade forums for a while but was mainly into spyderco folders. Picked up a mule fixed blade and decided I need some more fixed knives. Proceeded to pick up an Esee 3 and izula. I fell out of touch with The forum for a bit---- my wife had our ten month old daughter back in March '12. Finally in a good routine and have a little extra $ now to get back in to knives. I was recommended to check out Becker's by CF1969 last year and never got a chance to. Well, now I did--- I am the proud owner of these two beauties:

I am definitely looking forward to learning from this group. Seems like a bunch of knowledgable characters here!

I already replaced hardware on the BK14 to SS and picked up some paint stripper. Hope to begin that project this week, also have a azwelke kydex sheath coming as well for the bk14. Just got the bk2 today so haven't had a chance to figure out what mods/sheath I want yet. I must say that i am very impressed with the heftiness of the Beckers and i am a fan of 1095, and of course made in USA is great too. i just might be hooked! Thanks for having me.

Was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on my comment! Nicely done.

Welcome. People here are very friendly and willing to help. Make sure to wear waders when on the snark thread though.

Welcome! Beckers are great knives, but they're addictive. Before too long, if you're not careful, you'll have at least two of every Becker ever made, one in Grivory and one in micarta.

If you really get addicted, you can, besides the Gen I and Gen II Kabars, get Camillus and Blackjack and Cincinnati and hard chrome and powdercoat and probably others I missed.
Fun!!!
