My obsession with knives didn't really start until about a year ago.
A knife has always been just another tool to me. It seems as though many things I enjoy in life has followed this pattern. Rifles, optics, fishing gear, guitars, etc...now knives.
After years of use and abuse, I seem to find the limitations of the things I own. As I read (places like this) and learn from others, I soon find out there's so much I don't know. The more I know and learn, I discover new and better things and better ways to put those to use.
I've learned quite a bit about blades in the past few months and I'm really enjoying it.
I'm fairly new to the forum thing, but this seems like a good crowd, hopefully I can be a part of it and learn more.
I'm posting this in the Buck forum because I seem to use more of them than anything else. Just got a new one today, most folks around here don't care about knives, so I need a place to show it off.
Anyway, I snapped a quick pic of some of my user knives, as well as the new one.
I think this Vantage will be a keeper. Will have to work on the edge a bit, and one of the screws holding the scales is stripped, but both of those will be no problem to fix. We'll see how it holds up in the next few weeks.
(I always flip the clip, I usually carry this type of knife in my left pocket.)
