Hello all, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. I'm basically looking for the forum rules. I have some knives I'm looking to potentially sell/trade as well as gaining knowledge in this community. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

In order to sell in the individual for sale forums, you have to be a paying member. When you pay make sure that you also update your status to gold level, it is not done automatically by the software. You can only post one new thread in each for sale forum in any given day. If I'm wrong with any of this, hopefully someone will step in and correct me.

For general knowledge questions, feel free to post away, either with your own knives or knife-related info, or with questions about knives or knife-related material. You are not allowed to ask the value of knives, however.

All of your questions about the functions of the forum will probably be answered in the FAQ section above. If not, post a thread in the Tech Support section.

To post a trade thread you need a Basic Membership or higher. Anyone can offer trades to members with an existing thread.
You have to a Gold Member or higher to sell.
Anyone may buy.

So... whats your favorite knife?

Read this, These are the Exchange rules. This tells you exactly what you need to do, how to do it, and where to do it as far as selling items. It also explains what the different memberships are for, and what you can and cannot do. There are rules specific to each of the memberships. Make sure you pick the correct one the first time around.

Finally, in every forum/subforum there are yellow threads stuck at the very top of the lists. Read them, they contain information that will help you to understand what each forum is for. For example, do not offer things for sale in a discussion forum, do not talk about guns in general KNIFE discussion, do not offer to sell someone a product you've made unless you have the correct membership. Spend some time reading, reading, and do some more reading. Get a feel for the way this place works. Use the SEARCH feature as it is useful and can answer most of your questions and prevents redundant threads from happening.

Thank you all, my favorite knife right now is a Benchmade 5000 presidio. I've also really took a shine to the new sog flashback, great knife at a reasonable price.
