Hi everyone. I just joined and thought it good to introduce myself. I'm a retired EE and have been making knives for 15 years more or less. I do stock removal, forging, heat treating....pretty much all of it (sometimes rather poorly!). Just starting to get into making folders. I don't sell my knives, most of them wind up being given away just to make someone's day. I'm in the Texas Hill country and loving retirement.

Welcome. Seems like somebody likes the german language. Show some of your stuff.

Thanks! I lived and worked in Germany for 5 1/2 years, so I picked up a bit of the language as well as a wife. I'll get around to posting a photo or two, but right now I'm headed back out to my shop to work on rebuilding my forge. I finally got annoyed and tore it all apart and decided to start from scratch after using it for several years. It was larger than I needed and not well thought our. Hopefully, I'll get that corrected.

Welcome! Have fun with your forge, sounds like that's your goal in knife-making already which is a fine goal to have.

I'm sure your wife feels right at home in the TXHC :)
