Hey guys I have been lurking around these forums for many years and have finally decided to throw a post up. I work as a Network Security Engineer for a small consulting company and have had knives growing up my entire life, just haven't had any good ones until recently. I didn't really start carrying knives on my person until I received my LTCF permit in PA. I also have found out how freaking useful a knife is when you have one on a daily basis I use them for pretty much everything. Being a computer guy and working in Datacenter after Datacenter, cutting cable and moving routers and switches and servers these things really come in handy.
Anyways my collection was small and used the same few knives for many years. My old faithful has been my Kershaw Leek, what a great knife there nothing really more to say about it, its a classic. My next knife was a SOG Flash I and SOG Blink both of which were my EDC knives and we all know SOG makes a great product. Both SOG's have held up great over the years also.
The other day I was browsing around on here and said you know what I need a new knife its been a while...so I went to knifeworks.com and instead of just getting one knife I ended up with 4! Pics are below.
Byrd Flight
WOW this is a great blade and this thing is solid. This is really the unsung hero of the Byrd line IMHO. Feels great in hand. I was skeptical about the Byrd line but not anymore, would deff. buy another ones of these in a heartbeat.
CRKT McGinnis Tuition
Another great blade here, I really like the design and the overall fit and finish is good here also. Plus those serrations look so cool!
CRKT McGinnis Premonition
A nice design here also. I like the blue G10 handles and it fits in the hand great. The pocket clip is also blue to match the handles. Its also lightweight which is good.
Also not pictured is a SOG SOGzilla... very sinular to the Byrd, but the Byrd seems to be of better quality but im sure the performance will stay true to the SOG reputation.
