I am fairly new to the knife world.

I have a Protech/Emerson CQC-7 (154-CM), a SOG Vulcan (VG-10) and a Zero Tolerance 0700 Tactical (S30V).

I have my eye on a HTM Darrel Ralph DDR-Gunhammer, made with CTS-XHP steel, for $190.00. Anyone have any experience with this knife, or steel?

Thanks much...

Nice knives. CTS-XHP is an excellent steel that is fairly easy to sharpen, gets screaming sharp, and holds that shaving/screaming sharp edge for quite a bit of time(quite longer than s30v), it's working edge also lasts longer than s30v's.
Gun Hammer's are nice knives and Darrell's designs are top notch.

I say get it. =]

Thanks for the feedback. Like I said, I am new to this. I have attempted to purchase some knives made from different steels, in order to compare how they are made.
