01 tool steel, brass pins and liners, micarta scales
I have made 2 real knives, this would be the second. My first post here was a few silly small knives I made out of junk steel for some practice to see if it was something I wanted to pursue. Below are both of the legitimate knives. The smaller green micarta handled one is my first true knife with the proper assembly and prep as far as both gluing and peening, and a heat treat.

I'll also include a picture of the silly little guys I made for a progress comparison. I have definitely learned a lot just through making these two and I know that is just the beginning. What do you think?

Haha thanks man. I actually have two on those cut out of 01 that I need to make. They're fun to make and apparently a "thing" now.

very nice fit and finish on the top knife... all designs have nice character to them. keep at it! cant wait to see what else you come up with.

I always like to see macarta scales with the different layers coming out like the way yours did.

I can see a variety of uses for these in the field, from processing game to utility tasks around the barn. Paired with a hoof pick and an axe, I'd be happy to ride a few days with these. Keep up the good work.
