Hi all, New to the forums, been doing alot of reading ! Great site !!

Was hoping you guys could give me some info on a Case knife I just picked up. I know it was made between 1940-1964 (CASE stamp with XX below)
Model # 61011, jigged bone handles.

Was hoping to narrow the date down a bit ! The blade is worn down from sharpening, but not bad. Definetly carbon steel.

The jigged bone is beautiful. No shields or anything though.
I could add pics if I knew how!
Thanks !!

Is there any way you could post a picture (or send me one to post).
about the only way to tell is by grinds (sometimes) or differences in bone colors.
I am no expert, but some of these folks are or are at least pretty close ;).

Thanks for the replies guys !
Bastid, I'll send you some pics !
Greg, thats close, but the Jig pattern is different from the looks of it. And theres no X1 on the bolster.

my email is Bastid(at)gmail.com

Couple of pics of the knife.

Thanks for posting the pics Bastid !
If anyone can tell me a closer possible date I would appreciate it.
I had planned on using it, but if its collectible I would like to know !

I like it cause it seems to have alot of character, kinda talks to ya, if you know what I mean. Can just see some ole boy carrying it in the bib of his overalls for years, using it to cut a chaw off his baccy, lol
