Hey guys, I'm making my first knife from an old saw blade and hit a snag...I was hand filling my primary bevels with the T shape jig, the first side went great, clean line and smooth (ish). When I flipped the knife and started on the other side I couldn't get a clean line and it is VERY rough...so rough it looks more like a serrated blade. What am I doing wrong?

Also pictures help. Not for me, because I have no idea what could cause it, but for the other smart people on here.

File by hand is difficult. A belt sander makes it easy. I love making blades from old saw blades. It's fun showing the kids, and they actually make great cutters.
