Good evenin gentleman (and I'm sure there are a few ladies on here too)!

Brand new to Busse (long time admirer & lurker) and just bought my first two today: a Tiger Warden and Muddy Active Duty. Cant even express how excited I am but sure you guys know the feeling :D

I was just wondering how you all are carrying your Active Duties along with sheaths that work well for you. There seem to be so many options out there that its a bit overwhelming with where to begin. I haven't decided on if I want to go the kydex or leather route (open to both) and hoping you guys can share your experiences and pics of your AD setup if you have them. It will most likely be carried on my belt or in my waistband (if there is a thread on this topic - I cant search - feel free to point me that way).

For my Tiger Warden, I've seen a Chuddy Bear/Armoralleather type Randall Pouch on another forum and think its the way to go on that one - looks like a classic and great way to carry (I have a WTB ad up over on the exchange if you have any to part with ;) )

Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can provide.

Welcome to the trough:thumbup::thumbup:

I prefer kydex for concealability.
Here is one I made....

My Active Duty resides in a Chuddy Bear Sheath. Very nice, but if you want true concealability then you want IWB. For Inside the Waiste band carry thin kydex is the answer. Here's a pic of the AD in the Chuddy Bear and an IWB Kydex Sheath I made myself for my HG55. The IWB works REALLY well.

Welcome to the forum! There are several great sheath makers in the Busse room.

Don't have a kydex for an AD(yet), but I have a pic of two Muddy AD's like yours in leather. The light brown is by Leatherman, and the darker by Mt Mike.
There both on the Busse site if you need addy's.

I boned my BAD sheaths. Or is that, "I'm BAD to the bone" sheaths?

Oh, and there's the BADASS too. :D

Here's a new Leatherman AD sheath I'll be sending out to a friend next week to thank him for some gracious hospitality.

Thanks for the responses so far guys - REALLY nice work on the self-made kydex - looks awesome!

@ steelnut - damn that looks sweet! I've come across your kydex all around the web - do you have premade sheaths for the ADs?

@ Soulrack223 - love the way that Chuddy Bear looks also - nice and classic - how tight does it hold the AD in there? Also, does it ride bulky on your hip?

Looks like I might wind up going both ways...

EDIT: didnt mean to seem like I was snubbing anyone - forgot to hit save so this post was supposed to go after #3 - and now all these new pictures!! Wow - they really look amazing! I'm in sheath overload here :) Time to look through them all and report back...

It fits really nice and snug. I've actually used it for 3 different AD's without any issue. It rides really well vertically or horizontally on the belt. Making your own kydex is really easy IMO. All you need is a Drill press, vice, toaster oven and a few supplies and you're good to go. A band saw makes shaping it a lot easier too but isn't necessary.

Wow - I am really digging all these pictures! They are just awesome - thank you all very much!

@ Soulrack223 - thanks for the info on the Chuddy Bear.

So I'm piecing it all together and it looks like Leatherman = Dwayne Puckett = armoralleather...? His work seems to be in the majority here for leather...

Checking out his site and he has all the leather that I want - loving that Randall style pouch, BADASS, all purpose pouch, and really really love the standard sheath with handle keeper. I'm going to wind up spending the cost of a Busse on sheaths alone ;)

Seems like between Leatherman and Chuddy Bear (does he have other names as well? :D) I am set on the leather - do these pop up for sale ever on the exchange?

Thanks again guys - this is a wonderful community you have here.

Once in a blue moon, they might sell some overstock or someone might sell a lonely sheath, but the likelihood of seeing leather AD sheaths on the Exchange right now is fairly slim. It's been a while since the last batch, the BADs, came out.

Best bet is to pick your poison, contact the leather bender, and get on his order list. Not sure what wait time is for these two at present. Both make a quality sheath though.
