Hey everyone.

Just joined the forum and unsure of things. I was once a knife nut but now life and other things have gotten in the way. I am wanting to sell my meager collection. I am unsure of the rules regarding sells (Need to pay to play?) but more importantly I am based in the UK (booo I know) and that can have problems when it comes to sending knives internationally.

Any of the more wise among us can help a noob out?

Yes, gotta be a paying member. It also helps as you want to be able to PM the buyer.

There are members here that are in European countries. Might make it easier to sell overseas.

Being a paying member, allows you to post pictures, directly from your phone or computer.

Read the tips, rules... in the for sale section.

if you are joining just to sell and you are in the UK my advice would be to ensure you have secured a safe method of shipping before upgrading your membership.

It's almost impossible to get any large courier company like DHL, UPS, Fedex or Royal Mail to ship knives Internationally for private customers.

Maybe find a suitable shipper first.

PS- It might be more practical to join the UK forum "Edge Matters" and sell your stuff locally.

If you decide you want to sell here, here's the rules for the exchange:

Ahh thank you. That would make things better.

Hey I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm not really sure of the current value of the knives I want to sell.

The list is as follows

ONLY GOLD MEMBERS and ABOVE MAY INQUIRE ABOUT KNIFE VALUES - Staff

Any advice would be helpful.

From Bladeforums rules:

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly,
registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.
