New guy with a CQC 7 question.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and fairly new to Emersons. I got my first Emerson about a year and half ago on happen chance. I picked up a green handled Raven spear point for $30 second hand and thought it was worth the chance of a getting a fake at that price. At the time I didn't know much about Emersons, but went out and did the research and found it to be real. I later sold the knife and bought the mini commander and love it. I got a little money for Christmas and Birthday and wanted to turn it in to a new Emerson went shopping and think I found a fake.

So the question is did I find a fake Emerson? (note I did not buy it) It was a 99 CQC 7. It did not have the secondary detent and the stonewashing was different from the Raven(also a 99 model). But, all of the hardware, the logo, and the box looked correct.

Take pic and email Emerson. They can track the build number.

the knife is in a store a few towns over. Next time I pass through I will try to take some pics. Good idea thanks.
