Hey everyone, just joined up and wanted to say hi. Currently use an SOG Flash 2 as my EDC and placed an order for an upgrade to a microtech ultratech. Was wondering if anyone could tell me an approximate turn around time to recover the knife, and what the current blade steel might be. Thanks for any replies, looking forward to making some new friends!
 
Do you mean how long will it take to be shipped to you? That really depends where you ordered it from, your location relative to where they are, and the shipping method you paid for. USPS is probably a week or two, FedEx can be as quick as two days.

As far as current blade steel, BladeHQ has in stock Ultratech models listed as CTS-204P
 
Yeah, my question about TA has more to do with their first responder program. Order by email off mictotechs website. Says knives are made to order. There aren't really specifics about shipping preference, or when the order will even be processed.
 
Welcome Jay, sweet upgrade! I ordered a RSK via email a couple months back. I think the turn around time was a week or so, but with the postal service fiasco these days who knows. Mine was in m390. Which one did you order? Also what branch are you in? Cheers!

Nice looking knife there man. I ordered mine in black. And I'm in law enforcement, not military. Wish I would have though, but ya can't go back

Good call on the black one. I think they look the best. When I ordered mine I liked the red but in hind sight the black one looks more BA. Hopefully it arrives in a timely manner for you.
 
Yeah for sure. That's kind of why I posted, I haven't even heard back from them about my order yet. Been a week. Not expecting it to be in the mailbox yet, but thought I should have at least heard back from them

Awesome brother! Mine has been dead nuts reliable thus far. It has not misfired yet. I've had it a couple months now. It fires very hard! You're going to be happy with it! Post pics when you get it
 
Well, the good news is I got my knife yesterday, bad need is I don't know how to upload a picture. Knife is pretty impressive, m390 blade, fires very fast and firm, very sharp out of the box.

Use an image-hosting site like Imgur or ImgBB, copy an image URL that ends in .jpg or another image format, and wrap it in these tags:

You need one more step for that to show up, because the URL doesn't end an in image format (.jpg, in this case). Right-click that image, open it in a new tab/window, and then use that URL. :)

Appreciate the help. And thanks, happy I made the purchase, high quality stuff. I think they've been legal in my state for a few years now. Had a couple "kits" in my younger years, but these OTF knives are in another league.
