Hey there all. Been lurking around for a bit and though I'd finally post in celebration of my first SOG LOL. I've got a S/W, Spyderco, and a couple CRKT's already and I finally got around to grabbing a Flash II. Got it in the tigerstripe blade. Very cool. Overall it seems like a nice knife though I haven't been able to put it through it's paces yet. Had to tighten the pivot a wee tad to eliminate some very minor blade play- no biggie. The lock is a bit stiff when trying to close the blade (it actually hurts my thumb to do it) but it seems to be loosening up a bit already so I imagine with some further breaking in it should be fine. Had to ditch the pocket clip in order for it to feel comfortable in my hand, but as stiff as the clip was, I'd probably just toss it in my pocket anyways. Besides, I'm a clutz and walk into crap constantly and would most likely break the clip off the way I've heard of so many others doing. I would have preferred the aluminum handle over the Zytel since I can see why some people seem to have problems with the lock when the Zytel flexes. For the duty the knife will see in my hands it's rather unlikely it'll ever be an issue for me, but I can see how in a military or heavy duty application a problem could develop. Overall, I'm extremely happy with it so far. Seems rather well put together and as sharp as any other knife I've had. I bought it to be my new EDC, and I imagine it'll fit the bill quite nicely. Been using a CRKT Edgie as my box opener for some time now (which works awesome in that roll for the $15 it cost me BTW), but decided I needed to go back to a more general pupose knife as my EDC. And the way this thing's built I'm sure the spring won't fail after a month like my old Gerber AO did.

Welcome to Blade Forums. Lots of good people here

Congrats on your newest "toy" too :D

:D Hey BF. Welcome to BF!! :D :o

Sorry. Anyway, I like the SOG's too. I've got the Twitch II tho, but it's fun to play with. Good luck on keeping any money in your pocket. At least in cash form. You'll have lots of money tied up in knives in your pocket.

I've got about $400 in knives in my pocket right now and about $14 in cash.

Nah, I spend more on car parts than I ever will on knives, so I'm used to carrying around an unsettlingly light wallet LOL. That being said, I'm thinking of grabbing either a Trident folder, or perhaps saving up some scratch for my first Benchmade.
