Hi everyone, good to find a place where people really appreciate quality-built, knives that are never "out of style". Got a question that I hope somebody can answer. Don't even remember what year it is, but I have a model #110 folding hunter with nickel ends and 25th anniversary on blade, and would like to know as to what it's value is---still mint in original box with all papers(never used). NEVER GONNA SELL. Also I heard that there was also a model #112 that was a 25th anniversary to go along with the 110--is this true, and if so does anybody want to sell? At least, I'll know if I still need to keep looking. I looked in the archives and didn't find anything.
I also have a fixed hunter model(?) that I got at the Buck factory back in 2002 or 2003 when I went through on a tour, that they were redesigning(experiment) and it is 1 of 600 made. Owned Buck knives since the 70's and have a small, nice collection of various styles.

Hi TimR, welcome, I'm sure someone with much more knowledge than myself will post more and detailed information. I got a 112 25th anniv. off e-bay for 36.00 + shipping. There are several variations...a fingergrooved 112 and several oddies according to Larry Oden's lists of bucks to sell. There is a 110 also. Consider joining the Buck Collectors Club, www.buckcollectorsclub.org there, I think, is an application that you can down load. Good Luck in your search and post a picture of your proto. Preston

Tim,
I can help you with some of your questions if you will send me an email. Also, you would appreciate the Buck Collectors club. Our 16 page quarterly newsletter is loaded with good info plus you get access to our website. I have a limited number of past newsletter issues that would allow you to "catch-up" on the information provided.

Hi Larry, and thanks for the reply. my e-mail is magnum318@adelphia.net
I've looked at the Bucks club and will join, but right now I have everything packed up to move back to Missouri when my retirement papers come in and wanted to know about these knives as they are the 2 most unusual ones I have.

Tim,
The 25th anniversary 112 is one of my favorite special projects for one simple reason. It is all wrong!
You look at the engraving on the 25th anniversary 110 and they got the dates right, 1963 to 1988. Then, someone thought we should do the same for the 112 since it is the younger brother to the 110 and would make a nice set. That makes sense right? The only problem is the 112 did not come out until 1972!
So there is the 112, put out by Buck, stating that we were celebrating its 25th anniversary when it actually had only been out for 16 years at that point. Someone in sales got a little over zealouse and now we have a very cool collectible 112 to look for. :D
I hope you can find one for your collection.
