New guy with RAT envy.

Hey guys! As the title says this is my first post and I don't have a RAT, yet.
I was referred her from another forum to get all the info I can on RATs. I am leaning towards the Izula for my first purchase. But what really got me wanting one was the orange handled RC-3 I saw a pic of yesterday.

Do you guys everyday carry your Izula? Do you just use it as a neck knife or is there a way to belt carry? I still need to look at pics and do some more reading but really I just wanted to say "HEY":D

alot of us EDC an Izula as a belt knife or in pocket .. while outdoors I do wear as a necker.
 
I carry my izula as a necker and companion it with folder for edc....I don't leave the house without both....when in the woods i will ad my 3 or 4...and on my wheeler i have a rtak II attached...this will soon be replaced by a junglas.....hope this helps...Drew
 
Welcome, Izula is a perfect first purchase introduction into RAT Cutlery and an IDEAL EDC carry.
 
I carry the izula as a necker. When plyaing in the woods I use an RC 4, I attach it to my shoulder straps on the backpack.
 
Hey dude. I would consider what you want the knife to do before you purchase one. I don't have an Izula but I do carry my bk11 around my neck
 
I carry mine as a necker as well. I've briefly tried belt and pocket carry but I'm just so used to neck carry now that I can't break the habit :).
 
There are some good threads posted on the Izula. I carry mine every day on my belt horizontally using paracord. I don't even know it's there.
 
Neck carry for me. I use a piece of ball chain. Paracord is too tough to break if it ever got caught in something. Unless you had some kind of break away.

Welcome. I EDC my Izula in my right front pocket. Be careful about buying RAT products; you won't stop with just one and you might find yourself tattooing the logo on.

I'm serious about that last part.
 
Izula is with me everyday as an EDC. I also have a folder, but the Izula is there incase I ever need some added strength! :thumbup:
 
Welcome! Well I have an izula and I wear it as a neck knife when I am at my house and when I leave the house I wear it on my belt with a custom kydex sheath and G clip. If you are going to be transitioning between belt and neck carry often I would recommend getting 2 differnt sheaths. If you are planning to just carry it as a neck knife or a belt knife one sheath should suffice

I originally bought my izula to use around the house. But after using it I had to EDC it. Good luck on your purchase. My favorite izula is the black one.
 
I was in your position 2 weeks ago, then I managed to aqquire an Izula, and I'm very impressed with it. The whole thing, in it's sheath, will fit in the back pocket of pretty much any pair of jeans without sticking out at all. I either do that or stick it horizontally on my belt with paracord.
 
With the way they show it on the website to carry it on yourbelt with paracord it looks to be a PITA, is it? Is it difficult to put it on your belt?
 
I neck carry my Izula most of the time, other times I'll just stick it in my front pocket as I head out the door. Never leave home without it:)
