May 18, 2010 Governor Lynch signed into law HB1665 which took effect immediately!

New Hampshire now has absolutely no knife laws which stop law abiding citizens from buying, selling, owning, carrying, possessing, transporting, collecting, or lawfully using any type of knife! New Hampshire truly lives up to its motto of "Live Free Or Die.

I've been eagerly anticipating this law and can now carry an auto without fear of losing my freedom. I love this state!

I have been following this closely and posted it in another thread yesterday. I am thinking of buying a house in NH to retire in.....

NH ROCKS!!!

That's why the wife and I spend all our free time up there in the mountains.

Seriously considering relocating to NH, enough yacking about it.

time to do it.

I am just loving this law change!!

=====================

I do however suggest that those of you who are considering a move to NH think twice for the following reasons;

This state sucks.

It's a barren wasteland.

Taxes are too high.

The people are all hillbilly hicks.

The black flies and mosquito's will carry your pets and small children away if you don't weigh them down with a cinder block.

And the TICKS! Don't get me started on the ticks... I saw a tick the other day with a dog on it.

It's also, very, very crowded here.

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting another guy who's swinging a dead cat.

In the winter, the temperature approaches near absolute zero.

The snow here is normally about ten feet deep.

There are bears in the woods that will eat you.

========================

And this is just the short list as to why you should not move here, anywhere near me in NH.;)

ON EDIT: By the way, Vermont is REALLY nice though.

Bears: Check in here too + we got our own wolf packs and russian migrating wolf packs.
Snow: Check in here too and more than 10 feet so its improvement.
Temperature: Still colder in here, we're same level with Siberia.
Dead cat thing: That's new in here you need to duck empty vodka bottles and crawl over drunken people.
Barren land and crowded: Interesting combination...
Ticks: We got ticks, all kinds of ticks in here too...
Black mosquitos: We got mosquito clouds that can suck blood off you faster than any vampire. The black cloud is not cloud but blood sucking pack of mosquitos... and such pack would grind cenderblock into dust in seconds.
People: Hillbilly hicks are good folck, I think I blend in nicely.
Taxes are high: Your taxes are still far lighter than Finnish taxes.
State sucks: So does Finland.
Knife Law: Finnish knife law sucks. NH rocks!

You got far better neighbours than I do. I so much rather take kiwi's as neighbours than Russians. (People are nice, red army is not)

I should mention that wages up here are terrible, there's no work, tourists are here basically all year, everyone is very mean, bears break into people's houses, moose attack cars and chase children, and ne'er-do-well teenagers hang out on your front lawn. :D

TRUE! It's all TRUE!! Every word is TRUE!!

But again... Vermont is just lovely (actually, so is Maine). Everyone should move THERE.;)

Also we have John Tesh on the radio!! STAY AWAY!

Dang, new hampshire reminds more and more like Finland... Rude people, mooses, bears, even snow. With high taxes and poor saleries, its probably like I'd never left home :D

Still, excellent to hear that some parts of the word there's common sense even in political decision level. Its giving hope.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who provided support to Knife Rights for this successful legislative effort. This legislation in another example, just like our successful Arizona Knife Law Preemption Bill, of what can be accomplished when you have a well-conceived legislative plan and combine a passionate and effective legislator; a professional lobbying effort organized and financed by Knife Rights and organized, hard-working and involved citizen support.

Rep. Jenn Coffey who sponsored this legislation, will be honored with Knife Rights' Freedom's Edge award at Knife Rights' Sharper Future™ Awards Breakfast at BLADE Show in Atlanta on June 5th (see http://bit.ly/a6msak if you'd like to join us).

This bill removed restrictions on switchblades, dirks, daggers and stilettos in Hew Hampshire and essentially removed all restrictions on knives in New Hampshire state law. New Hampshire now has no knife laws which stop law abiding citizens from buying, selling, owning, carrying, possessing, transporting, collecting, or lawfully using any type of knife. This is the first complete repeal of a state's knife restrictions ever and Knife Rights is honored to have been actively involved in getting this passed, via testimony to the legislative committees, engaging a lobbyist who worked effectively with the legislators to solve the many issues that arose and helping to organize citizen support.

NH Union Leader Front Page Headline reads: "Switchblade knives now legal in NH..." Read entire article: http://bit.ly/asx0GM

Knife Rights is hopeful that the example provided by New Hampshire will be followed by other states. However, it doesn't just happen. In order to repeal irrational restrictions on switchblades and other knives, it takes funding and people willing to work hard to effect change. We cannot do it without your support.
