I'm paddling the Saco River from North Conway, New Hampshire to Hiram, Maine on Sat June 19 to Monday the 21st. I am looking for anyone interested in doing 43 miles and 2 nights/3 days of primitive camping along the way. No boat? You can rent. www.sacobound.com has a shuttle service and makes the trip easy as pie. If you are serious about going, contact me (kevinestela at hotmail dot com) and I'll forward you the additional $$ matters and itinerary.

Come and get out from behind that computer, share/practice/learn your skills and have an awesome trip with us.

My fiancee is from Saco. Too bad we're up in Old Town right now and I'm working in Bar Harbor 6 days a week.

sounds like a blast. Do you know if the river is kayay friendly? I have one that could bring my gear without problem.

First post from cell phone btw... This is weird!

Man would I love to take part! Unfortunately, I am taking leave that week to spend some time out West. It's nice to see so many guys close by. I am currently living in Yarmouth, ME.

Kevin, have your paddled the Allagash? I hear that is a remote and beautiful area.

K_Estela. I wish I could go with you, I'm currently in Brunswick for work but unfortunately that's the weekend I'm traveling back to the company home base in NC. We used to make that run a lot when I was a younger man. It's beautiful if you've never done it before. Are you using the Put-In/Take Out at Brown Owl Outfitters in Saco? I have fond memories of the place. Have fun.

Sounds fun Kevin. I will be in the Boundary Waters the same time doing a trip. See you at the Advanced Course.

Our group is 5 Strong now. We are going to have a great trip. Plenty of field craft to practice along the way and of course, great food. There is still room guys. When you see the pictures, you'll be annoyed you missed out.

Where are all the New Englanders on this one?

Come on, you'll be sorry if you don't.

Kev

Glad you're coming Tony. Think of this trip as a skills course. We'll get plenty of practice whittling, carving and crafting. Make sure to bring a camera. The scenery is incredible. Oh yeah, as if I had to tell you, bring a fishing pole.
