new handle for a knife. worked OK

A work mate found this in his garage rusting away on top of a shelf.He thinks it was there when he moved in years ago. The handle has completely gone or disintegrated.He thought it might have been really old.The saw back and remnants of black coating make me think not. 80s circa perhaps.No stamps or marks just rust.

Looks like something you could use now.
