Mrn8 made these for me a few weeks ago. They make all the difference in grip feel on a BK16. I need to get another pair I keep rotating them onto my 17 & 15 and back.

Those look awesome. I have a pair of his liners on my 16 as well, he does great work. Enjoy!

Anybody using these with a kydex sheath? Does the scale width end up being similar
to Saints micarta, or did you have to send your knife in to get a good fit?

Filedog - you end up needing slightly longer hardware, which is why I offer stainless hardware with the set.

Here's my BK15 with the liners in a Godspeed sheath. It makes the fit tighter, but still works just fine. Perhaps a few seconds with a blow dryer on it would loosen it up a bit to feel like it was intended to. He's also got a set of liners on the way, so he'll be able to make them to this width on request.

If you want to go even thinner, I've found that the material the 5-Star folders are made out of works well for a very thin liner. You could easily cut those to shape with scissors and use a razor knife to shape it up to your set of handles.

Also i hear cd/dvd or video game cases work well. Horton hears a who is a nice orange!

mrn8 - thanks for the info, been meaning to try a set.
Have you tried the Saints micarta? One of the sheath
makers has a different pattern for sheaths with those
scales. Wonder if they end up being fatter than grips
w/your liners.

I have Saint micarta on my BK9, but I don't have their tweener grips. The full-sized ones end up being a little thinner. I've heard the tweener ones are a little thicker, but I can't verify how much. These liners add .060" to the width of the grip.

I made some out of a DVD case but I did a less then passable job. I got the extra width added to the handle but wanted something that actually fit and looked nice. Mrn8's liners fit better then anything I ever could have ever made plus their G10 and orange. Can't go wrong with that combo.
