In spite of having been widely used during last years, this scagelized 2G field knife never fulfilled my taste. Perhaps the off-line handle or the excesive stag crown. Good knife, with an excellent forged blade made in 52100 with convex grind. But it didn´t "filled" me.

Finally, I managed to find a craftman capable to face the challenge to give this knife a new life.
His name is Francisco Pernil, from Marbella (Spain), and here´s the result:

Besides the obvious new handle with red deer crown, polished deer ring, leather and rosewood, keeping the old brass guard, with my name engraved, the grinds were fixed (not completely even in the original), and sharpened. The sheath was darkened and protected.
Finally, a short video where you can really appreciate the quality of craftmanship. Hope you like it.

Now, this is the knife that was waiting for me inside the old one.

Best regards.

Great job ... looks really nice and more comfortable even. Made the knife look near new ... should give you a bunch more years of use and memories.

Just very well done! Truly YOUR knife now, and it does look great. Also looks more comfortable for the hand. Kudos to the craftsman and craftsmanship, more to you S sevilla for recognizing the knife’s potential.
Thanks, Neal
