I wanted to show all some thin I have been working on. Was nut shore wear to post it but I hope this counts as a project. It is a new glow in the dark handle material I can up with that I think I will market as Fire Fly. It is chips of glow in the dark material that is stabilized then cast in resin. The resin I use can be tented this one is tented orang, it is important to let light pass threw the handle as that it is reflected back out from the tang. This increases the amount of energy passed to the glow material and the amount of surface area that is both charged and releasing light. With most glow handles only a thin layer of the out side surface is charged of gives of light. With my design the back and inside of the handles are also charged and because the tang is mirrored the light that pas threw the handle is reflected out threw the handle. This not only "double charges" the glow material it also reflect additional light back out threw the handle making the perceived glow brighter and to some degree allows the glow material to recharge its self. This self recharging has a diminishing effect but dose seem to make it moire efficient.
To give full credit I came up with the idea, and took it to the guys at Custom Composite (C-Tec) to make it. Given there experience with working with epoxy and the like. They refined the production process I want to give them credit and point out they are great to work with. I also get my blue and purple lightning strike from them.
