This is a new handle material called kirinite, that I will be offering. These are a $10 option

Desert Camo

Lava Flow

Patriot

Pearl Sunspot

Pepper Jade

Purple Haze

Red Mother Of Pearl

Royal Pearl

Toxic Green

Cool stuff!

I read a little on it - I read that the more it is polished the more it "bonds with your hand", so it supposedly is not slippery.

Will you be polishing these scales smooth?

The stuff is funny to work with. After I cut out the scales on my scroll saw, they "glued" themselves back together! Had to cut it twice.

Too fast a saw speed.
I had the same problem when I cut a piece of plexiglass to fit in my truck window when it was broken into.
All I had to cut it with was an air powered jigsaw & the melted pg fused right back together.

Here's a quote from Mike Stewert of Bark River copied from another forum.

"Kirinite is a new material.

It appears to be so good that it probably will replace all of our other acrylic materials.

We threw it on the concrete floor full force - the normal acrylics we use would have shattered.

They Travis Froze it overnite to -2.

We then threw it again and it did not break.

I would say that it is not as tough as Micarta or G-10 but much Tougher than any other Acrylic material that we have ever used.

You will be seeing more of it and it comes in a lot of colors and color combinations.

Mike"

I can see me getting some Pepper Jade for me and a kitchen knife in Purple Haze for Karen. Cool stuff.
