New handle shape on a Wenger SAK????

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old shape.

I dig the ergonomics, but if the bolsters are too thick then they might be a little chunky...

Many thanks for the heads-up on these.

They appear to be already available from Swiss-Knife.com in Switzerland:

Having thought about these a bit more -
I'm pretty sure the new Evolution series are basically the regular Wenger SAKs just with the new contoured scales -

For example the Evolution 10 looks like it's the Commander (16939) with new contoured scales -

Evolution 14 looks like it's based on the Traveler (16932)

The only way to know if I'll like the change is to actually handle one of the new knives, but it looks very promising to me.

The older SAKs can be very slippery at times.

I'm certainly more than willing to give one a fair chance.

I wonder if the Standard Issue will be made with the same shape?
That could be very cool indeed.

Allen.

It looks cool, but I have to wonder just how well that swell is going to work since you have tools at BOTH ends of the handles.
