I love my splendid little Benchmade Lerch but the black handle slabs are pretty blah. Does anyone know of nice replacements that have a tad more pizzazz; e.g., Ironwood burl? It probably would not be a major task to fabricate them if I could find the right material. I would appreciate any input from those who have successfully resolved this sort of concern. Thanks.

If you are referring to the 3150 Impel, I’ve seen one with jigged bone handles that was customized by Bill Deshivs whom I think is a member here.

I have an Impel myself and the handle slabs are pretty thin. Shaping them might not be too difficult but getting the right thickness might be tricky.

Try a Google search for “Knife Supply Stores”. There are several that sell raw handle slabs that you can shape yourself. A wide variety of materials are available.
