so ive had a chiruwa AK for a while now, and the horn slabs have dried and shrunk, vibration from use has put some cracks in it and broken a small piece off. Ive filed down the tang, glued back on the broken off piece etc but i no longer trust this handle to last.... anyone know a person I could send my blade to who could rehandle it with nice micarta slabs?

Detcord there was a time that I would've volunteered to fix your handle but these days I can't even seem to get around to doing my own stuff. But hang tuff, someone should come along and work something out with you.

But why not try it yourself, that is unless you just absolutely have a place to work on it? Replacing chiruwa handles is a fairly easy job actually...  :D

Detcord?

If Hollowdweller comes in, see if you can get him to give you his illustrated pictorial on a re-handle job he did at home. Beautiful work.

Nice man, no matter what everybody says.:D

Hollow did a major portion of a rehandle at my house during one of the Khonventions. He'll steer you right.
