I purchased a 2nd knife from the Cold Steel catalog with the intention of having a local knife wiz here in the Dallas area put somew new slabs on it for me. He has recently fallen on bad health and had to retire from part time work.

Does anyone know of anyone who can do this kind of work? I thought I saw that someone had a web site and did this, but I cannot find it anymore. Help me out guys. I have a Black Trailmaster that I want some linen mircata finger grooved slabs on. Share the knowledge!:)

Hey, Cerberus,

I've done it before...you can check out the Older Stuff on my webpage, where I've got a pic of a Buck that I did for a guy about a year or so ago. I put some dymondwood finger-groove grips on it, in place of the neoprene grip it came with.

I'd be willing to take a look at it, at least. I figure, if nothing else, it's a good way to meet a fellow forumite!

Lemme know, on-list or off, if you're interested.

Thanks for the info. I knew that my fellow knife aficionados would come thru. Sunrise River was the one that I was looking for, but the other links will be contacted as well.........especially that guy in TEXAS! Ah............a fellow redneck. (everyone I know from other states think we are all rednecks, so I'll say it fer ya!!!!!!!!)

Cerberus.

Frank has done a couple of things for me- absolute top-noch work.
He does more than filework.
Highly recommended.
