I could wait until tomorrow and call and ask but ....

Will BCKC replace handles if I wanted to upgrade from standard to magnum handles?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Yeah, they will hook you up if the slabs you want are available...for a charge of course but I have looked into it and it's very reasonable.

I asked Garth just last week; basicly the answer is definitely and for a reasonable fee, however they have to have that particular slab (shape + material + color) in stock, so in my case I have to wait until they do another run of SF handled knives. Then I'm all set :D

What do you consider reasonable? I called and asked to change my CGFBM scales from standard to magnums, and was quoted a number that was around 25% of the original cost of the knife  At that point I convinced myself that standard slabs are vastly superior to magnums :D

Reasonable (to me) is the original cost of the upcharge in your case for Magnums I believe it was $35 + the cost of the original grips (which you will be discarding and included in the original purchase price) + labor to make the swap.

That seems fair to me.

Greg

Anyway how can you put a price on love :D

Was it "reasonable" ?

Greg

Yes they charged me what it would have cost for that option if I had ordered it new from Busse, around $50 plus a fee for refinishing. I am excited to get it back. It was originally tan/tan it will now be black/tan:thumbup:

Good deal, don't forget to post before and after pics :D

Did they say how long before you get it back?

usually i prepare for 2 weeks to a month of time. Busse are usually busy with their other stuff like Ganzaaa, custom, current line-up, mailing...etc.

Its usually fast, when you prepare yourself with longer. Time flew fast before you notice it. Never longer like "2 Weeks" for current line-up for delivery.
