There is a 2010 catalog on Emerson Knives website, with new Hard Wear knives (G10 handles and linerlocks). There is no blade steel listed, nor price, country of origin, ETA. Does anybody know any details?

I am pretty sure they are made in Japan like the older models. I'm not really interested though because I would rather save my money for the real deal.

The New Hard Wear line will be out in August and they're made here.

That's HARD WEAR series, isn't it? I suppose it will be real deal, reasonably priced Emersons

Thank you for the info. Do you know what steel will be used for that knives?

Why the hell don't they make waved hard wear knives?

I'm sure they lose business to those who can't/won't pay for a production emerson because they just buy a waved endura/delica.

Give me a break. Emerson owns the patent. It would cost nothing extra to produce. WTF?

All the new Hard Wear knives are waved and made in the USA.

Great! It's about time. What the hell took them so long?

Why don't they list them on the Emerson website? The ones shown are all non waved?

Anyway, if they are in fact waved, I'll probably end up getting one or more. Definitely will get a few if they make the clip reversible.

Come on, adding threads to each side ain't that big of a deal. Forget about the 4 position clip like on the spydies, tip down is gay! :barf: Just needs tip up on both sides!

Can't wait to see them.

In my opinion the Regular line up isn't overpriced. There has to be a difference or they would all be regular line knives.

The price list that came with my catalog has the Retail Prices listed as:

Endeavor $197.95
Traveler $179.95
Reliant $197.95

Not really much different that the regular Emerson line.....

They are liner lock now, too - not the back locks.

^^ At those prices, no thanks. :thumbdn:

They could have left the plastic handle and the lockback and just added the wave and kept the cost well below $100.

If they are G10 scales and liner locks, then why bother?

Seriously, that's more than I paid for any one of my Emerson's.

Bad idea. And still no fucking reversible clip!

I'm dissapointed :(

Those are MSRP prices. If you compare the MSRP on other Emerson knives with free market based prices, the mark down is as much as 30%.

Reduce these prices by up to 30% to compare apples to apples if you are considering retailer pricing.

I compare it to made in USA Benchmade knives - 710, Warn, Torrent, Dejavoo have lower MSRP.
These knives aren't much cheaper than Commander, too.

Well, I was getting a little excited about these, but then I saw the prices. I only own two Emersons; two of the older Ravens. The prices of Emersons has kept me from buying them. Well, looks like the prices of the new Hard Wear line will keep me from buying those, too. Oh well.

Then again, shop on ebay and pay considerably less. I've purchased a number of Emersons there for less than a hundred dollars, some used, some new. Never a bad one. The most I've paid for one yet was a hundred fifty, for a new CQC-15.
