Upgraded to this little Husqvarna. Not too bad.

It's small (12" handle) but chops well. Light, easy to carry and reasonable
($39) The BK 9 is good for a size comparison.

It made friends right quick :D

Hrmm - might I ask where you picked it up? I have quite a number of axes -mostly GBs - but have been wanting to pick up one of those to check out as well.

Baileys on line has them. Hope it's ok to post the name.

Was looking for something small and light. Easy to carry. These things tend to get heavy quick.

Cobra I was this close to getting a free one from a local husky dealer. He did order a few so I need to go pick one up.

mmmm, axes :) excellent Becker content too :)

Do you know what kinda steel it is made out of? I've been on the look out for a good little hatchet, and that one looks real nice!!!

Heh. I discovered this hatchet about a week ago. Seems to be quite popular lately. Found a local dealer who is special ordering one for me (let them pay for shipping!) but selling it for what you all see it for online. I can't wait! It's going to be my first real hatchet. Some good vids of it on youtube. Seems to be very much on par with the GB of the same size in terms of steel, shape and construction from what I've seen and read, but as I understand it, the companies are related in one way or another.

I have been eyeing is axe too. Thanks for pics and review.

No problem. Took it out after these pics and did some chopping just to test it out and funny thing happened on the way ... I realized what a good chopper the 9 is. (LOL)
It kept up with the hatchet pretty well.

But, the Husky works for what I was looking for. Light, small, easy carry. Throw it in a back back and bearly know it's there.
