I received my Hatchula II yesterday and it is already one of my favorite blades. The one thing that really stands out about this knife is the weight. Photos are deceiving - the Hatchula II is MUCH lighter than it appears! I told Dylan when the mailman brought the package to my door, he commented that it didn't feel like there was anything in the box. For a knife with a 6.5" blade, it is very quick in the hand. As usual for Dylan's knives, the handle is superb! I also own a Bush Operator and a Tango and the handles are the best I've ever felt on any knife. The Hatchula II is a fantastic design and will serve me well as a kitchen, camp, and general purpose blade. I'm so impressed at the lightness and feel of this thing. I have other larger, heavier knives for chopping, etc., and was initially hesitant about buying the Hatchula II because it looks heavy in photos, but I am so glad I decided to get it.

I haven't had it long enough to take any user pics, although I did cut up some ribs today for the smoker. I just wanted to thank Dylan publicly for yet another great design and the excellent craftsmanship that goes into his knives!

I agree completely! I LOVE the Hatchula II profile! My latest one was super light for some reason! WOW! It's a lot of knife that is well balanced and easy to use, full sized but light, and just plain fun to use!

I would take 20 of them from Dylan if he would let me!

There's plenty of them coming. I think there's at least 6 in the next batch. If you guys have a handle preference, tell me now.

Orange!!!!!

+1 I'm a big fan of any form of blaze orange (liners, slabs, etc...) on a camp knife. I'm also very traditional. I've always been a fan of Dylan's basic handle materials (micarta and G10). I'm not into the new more extreme and colorful handle materials. I'm certain that I'm in the minority.
