New Hawk

No personal offense meant, but, if you were looking for 'authenticity', i.e. what it may have looked like if owned by an American Indian in the 1700's to mid 1800's, then it's original condition would have sufficed nicely ....with maybe just a little clean up and a protectant on the wood and hawk head in order.

Interestingly enough, I recently came across a photo of an original tomahawk haft that had a wrap under the hawk head much like yours did in it's 'before' state ...except that this one was believed to have been made from a piece of human intestine.
