I got these in a lot yesterday and My knowledge of Mad Dogs is limited. I’m trying to figure out what model they are. Any info is appreciated

thanks Andrew Paige image.jpg

You got those in a lot? what is a lot?

They look in perfect condition

I would not be able to tell, as Im not an expert on MD knives but how are 'we' sure, that these are not Maxpedition knives?

I. e. how does one tell the MaxP knives apart from the MD knives based on the info/pic in the OP?

Interesting. I gotta remember to put a value on my stuff so my family and my stuff arent parted and a low price when I am gone. Congrats on a good find. I would ebay those.

I have quite a few customers that have instructed their wives to have me help them sale when that time comes. I’m thinking about sitting on them a little while and seeing if the value goes up.

There are forums where former Mad Doggers hang out in, BF is not one of them. I would look for those forums. I bet you might get some fanatics that would pay top dollar for those now.

Sounds like quite the find. I don't know much about them as investments. I only know them from a recent Test & Eval a few of us at work got to put some through.

Well, the handles are different for one. MD's have one finger groove, maxp have two. Next would be the steel. Max uses D2, while MD used O1 typically chrome plated.

I understand. I knew the steel was different but must admit that I couldnt discern the type of steel from the OP text/fotos.

True, the steel is quite a bit harder to tell without damaging it. If you have access to a spectrum analyzer, then it is easy.
