Wanted to thank everyone for making this forum such a terrific resource, and show some of my non-kitchen knives - I'm just starting to get into folders, as you'll see --
I'm an avid camper, and I am a small-town Ontario native, doing what I can to make sure my "city" boys don't miss out on some of the outdoor skills I grew up learning. All of my knives are users. I'm not afraid to put them on the stones, thin them out a bit - they may not look crisp and clean like a new knife, but they do the job(s) I need them to do. Scary sharp is the only kind of sharp. All have their intended purpose - only a few "scary" shapes are left in the drawer, until it's non-family camping time. I carry many of these knives in an EDC rotation... but I work in an office. I use Dovo and TI straight razors (unless I'm running late).
I figured I should stop EDC'ing fixed blades, so I started with a couple big folders. Would love feedback on how you'd add to either the fixed, or straight collection. I try not to buy knives I won't use - If knives don't get used, they are purged.
Here's my SAW Forest Axe, and pocket boy
