I have no idea if I can even ask here but I don't know where else to look it up. Tl;dr, Girlfriend's uncle found this some years back, but cannot identify the signature for the life of it. Any ideas?

This looks like a waster Purpleheart Armory did at some point. You might shoot them an email to ask if they were responsible.

There have been a few posters on various forums showing there own homemade swords as well and as likely to be a one off home build as a Purpleheart custom. It looks familiar enough to me that it looks Purpleheart to me. It's worth a shot though.

What is the signature? Show it.

Cheers

Thank you kindly for the help. This is the signature on the plaque. I've thought of it being an amateur work, but with a custom plaque and signature, I wouldn't think so. Then again, I may be wrong.
