Hello all. I'm new to the forum here. And I haven't been able to find an area in the forum while searching. I suppose that one should just contact a knife maker. But I figured I'd check with the knife veterans here.

I am interested in someone disassembling (2) new bayonets, and kind of using a bit of both parts, i.e., one bayonet is the one the of my dreams for my collection. It is an actual Russian Bayonet w/ correct markings, but it has been filed on the pommel. I have a perfectly working one, but it isn't Russian, it's Bulgarian. However. My Russian bayonet has been "de-activated" per the UK's dumb $hit laws reguarding no bayonets with locks on them. (not far off of our US-no bayonet lug on firearms) LOL

I just want the rear bayonet "pommel?" portion of the Bulgarian placed on the Russian bayonet. Does anyone know where I could find someone/or a section in forum that would do this for me? Disassemblr both, and put (1) knife back together in working order? It is possibly rather crude Russian riveting/welds that put this together. Communists didn't always make the best quality. But they did make it work!

Thank You in Advance

Nobody is going to want to help you when you act like a jackass. Your thread is only 4 hours old, give it some friggin' time. I've had threads go without answer for 2 days then I'll get 20 great replies in 1 day. Just give it some time, these people aren't your personal answer men.

Could it be that:

1) most people appear on the forums in the evenings help isn't instant.
2) using a more descriptive title.
3) posted this in say the knifemakers forum rather then in general.

Might have helped more then complaining about how sad the forum help is.

This is a forum, not a chat room. It's a common misunderstanding. There are twenty-something thousand members here including many of the most knowledgable knife experts in the world. But they're not all here all the time. Many check in only once a day or even once a week. So, you just have to be patient.

Of course, if you'd like to pay for our "Express Service..." :D

"****ing sad forum"

I seriously doubt anyone wants to rebuild those ****ing sad bayonets.
Assuming someone here has the expertise to rebuild one of those, I doubt the value of these would justify the cost.

Ummm... you are the one asking for help. People here are not indebted to you and are not obligated to answer you in any way.

In my experience asking for help nicely, instead of being impatient and and calling it a "****ing sad forum" would gain more responses and respect. You are acting like a whiney teenager...then again, maybe you are

I wouldn't help this PT even if I could. :grumpy:

LOL!...*grabs ANOTHER bag of popcorn and cracks open the first beer of the day* :D
EDIT......Shark8m? Omega, is that you? That bayonet is not going to do well against a shark...or a croc for that matter. ;)

Well spotted Marty my boy, you could be right.

I have a feeling this thread will be on it's way to W&C when the mods stop drinking beer and have alook in here! ;) :)

Yes, gentlemen, keep in mind which forum this thread is currently in or that plank you think you hear may not be lowering for the person you suspect it's for.

A word to the wise, as it were.
