Hello all,

I'm quite new to these parts, though I've lurked for a spell. I decided why lurk when I can support B/F with a knifemaker membership. I've been making knives for a year or two on a hobbyist basis; when time off of work permits and I am not hunting/fishing/canoeing and such. I do stock-removal, as this is the method that my space and equipment allow me at this time.
I have joined as a knifemaker, but am and always will be humbled by the sheer talent of the makers here. I suspect this crowd will do very well to dole out criticism when required.

With all that said, I'd like to share a photo or two of one of my more recent knives that I made for a local fellow that is a whitetail hunter.

Specs:
1075 steel @1/8" thickness
OAL 8.75"; blade: 3.625" tip to choil; full-height grind with convexed secondary.
scales are OD canvas micarta with stainless pins.
Sheath is veg.-tanned leather.

Thanks for looking,
Ben

Welcome to BF. Your knife looks good as does the sheath. There are a bunch of good people here who are glad to share there talent.

Nice work Ben! I am glad to see you getting more involved on the forums.

Ben made me this knife last year. It is a model that he calls the Soloist. Maybe I should get a review together for it sometime.

This one is 1/8" 1095 with very nice stabilized Eucalyptus scales (with white spacers). It has a convex grind really cuts well. I understand that this model has already gone through some improvements since I got mine so I am looking forward to Ben posting some pics of the new Soloist.

Welcome to BF Ben,
Great work on those knives,
Hop to see more soon

Best regards

Your knives are beautiful. I see what you mean about radiusing the top of the scales. I added a couple of drawings to reflect the blade profile change you suggested. Moving the tip up the spine is going to have a good effect on the overall look of the knife. Again I am impressed with the details of your work.
