Cannot wait for this one to arrive the AXIS system alone will make it a perfect tactical/everyday carry Item

Gerber: not sure which model. It has a great weight to it and a quick finger operated opener. Nice inexpensive knife will be for multipurpose use for sure.

My only question has to do with the benchmade since I am just getting into knives but is the tanto a double sided blade? Or is it single sided like some of the emerson commanders I have seen.

you should also consider cold steel and emerson

I wanted an emerson CQC-7 mini but I am not a fan of having a one sided blade. Could be my next buy tho. Spyderco makes great stuff as well but from an asphetics point of view they are fugly.

What is everyones experience with the mini griptalian or the tanto blade design?

Try the search function. There are many, many threads on the mini-Griptilian.

Regarding the tanto blade design, it's good for stabbing but for general utility, it's a nuisance IMO.

Ludwig you play drums by any chance?

I like tanto style blade the secondary point bites in to your target really well .I also like persian upsweped blades like the emerson persian it has a needle sharp point and good cutting edge but much more fragile.

the cold steel san mai 3 hatamoto is the best tanto blade folder I've ever seen so far the fit and finish is unmatched.

Go with Crawford's 3.8 Tanto. It's all you'll need and if you wish you can choose your preferred handle grips. This is an all-purpose EDC-SD knife. Good luck.
