I've been drooling over having a nice knife for a year now. I don't have a ton of use for them as i'm not a super outdoorsman type of guy but I really like knvies. I've had a few Gerber folders that i've always liked, i cool paraframe folder that I carry at work alot, and a Gerber tanto tipped folder which i also use at work and around my apartment some. I just got my brand new Becker BK7 yesterday and its amazing. No real big reason i got the 7, mostly I just wanted a knife that could do alot of work in case I ever got lost or anything hiking around. I went back and forth between the 2 and the 7(the 9 just always seemed to big for what i wanted). I can't get over how good this knife feels compared to other knives I've held. Just awesome. Now I know why everyone here seems to just keep buying them. Now i'm debating buying a BK4 next. always thought about getting a hatchet to have handy, BK4 seems like it can do a hatchets job np and then some. Then maybe a smaller knife to leave with my fiance when i'm working out of town (she sometimes puts a kitchen knife near right now just to feel safer). Thanks for having this forum, tons of good information. I may be spending more time(and money) here.

Welcome!!!
A 7 is a great way to start. Key word being "start". The 7 is probably the only Becker you will ever need. But, it won't be the only Becker that you will ever buy!
All the best
Balding

The 7 is a fine choice...one of my top picks for an awesome ''One Knife To Do It All''.

If ya want a smaller knife, that compliments your 7, I can't recommend the BK17 enough! Awesome blade.

Then you will ''need'' a EDC fixed..that's where the BK14 comes in handy.

Welcome to BeckerLand.

congrats on the 7. I don't have one yet but it is a lot of people's favorite. take some pics when you get the chance. welcome!

My brother just got the 7, really nice blade. Congrats and can't wait to see some pictures!

I bought a 7 as my first becker as well, great knife! less than a week went by before I bought a bk14 for an edc. I'm already debating with myself which one I want to buy next. Welcome to the forums, and hope the becker bug doesn't hurt your wallet too bad ;) Pick up some micarta scales for it and you will like it even more!

I love my BK7. I still chuckle when I recall the instant mind-boner I got when I first took it out of the cardboard sleeve. Out of all my knives, it's the one I like to fondle the best. Now that I think about it, I'll be taking it to the woods this weekend to give it a workout... usually it's in the hidden compartment in my truck.

OK, i got some pictures, nothing to special though as its way to hot to go outside for much today. I like how the micarta scales look, do they really make the much of a difference feel wise? I think the BK4 will be next and then maybe the eskabar or the bk16 or bk15.

it's a matter of preference really, I think the micarta scales feel better in my hand, and look better as well.

resistance is futile! Get a 4, 14, and a 17/16/15 (pick your favorite). Congrats on the new 7, and welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum staindvans!
Congrats on your first Becker!
The BK-7 still amazes me every time I hold it.
So quick and agile for a large blade.

Yes!
imo they feel more grippy. I like the looks of them over the stock grivory also.
