Let me know what you guys think! :)

Some folks like em, some folks hate em, lanyards. Personally I like em and find that making them is very addictive. You'll find them attached to everything in the garage and around the home.

Great shot, nice lanyard. I have a question for you, did you put it on because you liked they way it looked or because you felt it needed it to either get a better grip or make it easier to retrieve or both?

Try some leather leather, the organic look offsets and softens the the hard edges on most modern folders. For picture taking you get some nice options between wood, stone/bone and turned metal beads against the leather.

Hey, thanks! I recently got a new camera lens and this was one of the first few snaps I got with it!

As far as the reasoning behind the lanyard, the clip on this knife is a bit stiff and kind of short, so I use the lanyard to just pull it out of my pocket a lot easier / faster. The knife itself is wonderful, just has a stiff / short clip.

This one was the first lanyard I've gone about making, definitely addicting like you mentioned above! I have thought about a leather one as well, but have not looked into it yet. I could use beads that have bigger holes though. The hole in this one was quite small and getting the paracord through it was extremely difficult, I could only imagine doing the same with leather. :s

Take the core out of the paracord, it changes everything and drill bit will enlarge your wooden beads easily, buy a few in increasing diameters and only use them for the wood beads and they'll last forever.

Your off to a good start, looking forward to seeing your progress. One last tip, find a good knot/macrame site one that has a good sailing background and you'll get some great ideas. If I remember to look later I'll post some links to a few of my favorite knot tying sites.

Never thought about gutting the cord or drilling a bead, great suggestions. I've got a few different colors coming in the mail. Definitely going to look into different sites for knot patterns as well, I appreciate the advice! & if anything I'm sure I will run into them at some point!
